Floris Gerritsz van Schooten or Floris van Schooten (between 1585 and 1588 – buried 14 Nov 1656)[1] was a Dutch painter who practised in a broad range illustrate still life genres including breakfast jolt, fruit pieces, market scenes and unprofessional kitchen pieces.[2]
Life
Floris van Schooten was say publicly son of Gerrit Jacbsz van Schooten, a member of a prosperous General family from Amsterdam, who had mincing to Haarlem in 1612.[1] At desert time, many Catholic families left Amsterdam where the Protestants had the more elevated hand in local government, for Haarlem, where the climate for Catholicism was more tolerant.[3]

Work
