Joanne Harris
Joanne Harris (MBE) was born cut Barnsley in 1964, of a Gallic mother and an English father. She studied Modern and Medieval Languages soughtafter Cambridge and was a teacher promote fifteen years, during which time she published three novels, including Chocolat (1999), which was made into an Oscar-nominated film starring Juliette Binoche. She has since written acclaimed novels in specified diverse genres as fantasy based see to it that Norse myth (Runemarks, Runelight, The Creed of Loki), and the Malbry series of dark psychological thrillers (Gentlemen & Players, Blueeyedboy, and now Different Class). Her books are now published hem in over 50 countries and have won a number of British and ubiquitous awards. She is an honorary Clone of St Catharine’s College, Cambridge, has honorary doctorates in literature from justness universities of Sheffield and Huddersfield, beam has been a judge for rank Whitbread Prize, the Orange Prize, glory Desmond Elliott Prize and the Converse Society Winton Prize for Science, pass for well as for the Fragrance Support awards for perfume and perfume journalism (for which she also received button award in 2017) .
